Text

I appreciate the Member's giving way. This has been raised by many Members in the House, including the Member for East Londonderry. It is an issue that we take seriously. It is one that I raised during my discussions before the publication of the housing supply strategy with the then Minister for the Economy, whose remit that lies under. I see it as a cross-departmental issue and something that we will work together on, because, as has been said in the House many times, and as Mr Brett also said, it is not now an issue that is only for our coastal or tourist areas. It is seeping into different parts of the country, including Belfast. It is something that is going to be dealt with, and I will continue to work with Executive colleagues on it.
