Text

Minister, you have a well-earned reputation for plain speaking, but I am afraid that you are not living up to that reputation today. I am still absolutely none the wiser as to how much this is going to cost the Executive. You must know; if you do not, then you are not doing your job. I welcome you to your new job; I am sure that you have had a baptism of fire. However, your officials should be able to tell you, at the click of a button on a spreadsheet, how much this is going to cost the Executive and the wider public sector. Your predecessor had various accounts of it. Please, can you tell us now how much this is going to cost the Northern Ireland Executive and the wider public sector?
