Text
The Member will be aware of the work of the Fiscal Commission. It is continuing its work to gather evidence on Barnett consequentials and how this place should be funded. I would like one of that body's next phases of work to be looking at how we devolve further taxation powers to the Executive. In doing so, we will have to examine the implications of those taxation powers and how we use them. As with most of the limited taxation powers that we have, such as rates, all those matters will eventually go through the Assembly for a vote.
