Text

While any debate that highlights the chronic problems that farmers face in light of the Chancellor's autumn Budget is welcome, key debates on the issue have been taking place in Westminster, where the decisions are made. Sinn Féin is conspicuous by its absence, and, by continuing to distance itself from Westminster, it effectively forfeits its ability to directly influence the decisions that impact on us most. Instead of fighting for the reversal of harmful changes in the place where real change can happen, Sinn Féin opts to raise the matter here, knowing full well that we do not have the power to affect the outcome.
