Text

I have been entirely clear, without any caveats, about condemning the attack on police officers at the weekend. People who put themselves in danger in order to protect the rest of the community deserve our cooperation and respect. They should not face attack. I remind the Member who asked the question that our job, as Members, is to uphold respect not just for individual police officers but for the structures of oversight around policing, including the ombudsman and the board, and the Police Service itself. If we want there to be trust and confidence in policing in Northern Ireland, we have a duty to ensure that the public has confidence in all three.

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.07 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (0.92).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
