Text

Minister, beyond levelling the playing field, I will advocate for the victims of domestic abuse, given that people with children have been waiting in temporary accommodation for a year and a half. Domestic abuse is one of the most prevalent crimes across Northern Ireland, and we need to improve our housing system for victims. The review will give rise to conversations about that, but I urge the Minister to do more, given that there are waiting lists for women's refuges.
