Text
I thank the Member for her supplementary question. The next steps in the truth recovery programme, following Executive consideration of the final proposals, are to finalise draft legislation, after which we can press ahead with the introduction of the requisite legislation. Meanwhile, work is ongoing to establish the practical requirements for the public inquiry and the redress scheme. Alongside that work, as part of the integrated investigation, the independent panel is taking testimony from victims and survivors and is working with the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) on the issue of access to records. Officials continue to engage with victims and survivors to keep them involved in and central to the process. The First Minister and the deputy First Minister look forward to meeting them in the coming weeks.
