Text
I thank the Chair of the Committee, who is speaking in her personal capacity as an MLA. Yes, that is an issue but it is one in a range of issues that we have to look at. We have to think outside the box and have that blank-page start and ask, first of all, "What are the issues?", and there are specific, rural issues with healthcare delivery. Absolutely. We then have to ask ourselves, "What are our resources and what is our ability to meet the challenges that we have?" I am more than happy to work with the Member on an individual basis, and I am more than happy to work with the Committee. I will be working with officials. I am very glad to listen to representatives from the voluntary and community sector, who operate in rural areas, for me to fully understand the issues and to listen to imaginative ideas for how to address them.
