Text
I thank the Member for the invitation to speak to children. I say this to them: schools are a great opportunity for you to develop socially and educationally. We will be there to support you to overcome the barriers that you may have for not wanting to be at school. They can be varied, but support is there. A huge amount of work goes in to facilitating and supporting young people who, at times, have legitimate and very difficult issues to overcome in order to get to school. The Education Authority is there to provide that support. I want those children to be in school. It is the best place that they can be in order to develop. We will provide the support that is needed to those children to be able to facilitate them in our schools.
