Text
My officials and I have been working with other Departments in the past months to make sure that we do not fall into that situation again. That is why we have taken our time to make sure that we get the strategy right, that we have deliverable actions and, most important, that those actions make a real difference to the lives of all the people whom we represent. I am pleased that I have gone further than any past Minister in progressing an anti-poverty strategy. The promise was made in 1998, and it is one that I look forward to delivering on and bringing through the Executive so that we can make a difference.
