Text
It is a really quick point. Given the agreement that there is in the Chamber about the problems at the back door, and at the front door as well, the mere fact that patients are remaining in an ambulance and are not in the emergency department means that a form of triage is taking place to say that they are the least unwell because they are able to sit in an ambulance rather than in an ED. Is the Minister aware of what happens in London? There, there is a minimum handover time, because there is an understanding that the patient can be passed on. It is not great for those who are in emergency departments, but it does allow ambulances to get back out on the road.
