Text

They are two separate strands of work, but of course they will have to speak to each other. That will naturally happen over time, but I hope that we can see the publication of the Irish language strategy and the other strategies as quickly as possible. When that process is aligned, next year, we will start to see a real difference in the strategies being put in place, the commissioners, their responsibilities, their roles and the areas they will cover, and then we will all be clear about how that proceeds. The two things will absolutely have to talk to each other.

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.06 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).

  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
  • Subject area: Irish language, Ulster-Scots and language policy.
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
