Text
With your permission, Mr Speaker, I will answer questions 2 and 15 together. We are pleased to confirm that funding of £1·6 million has been allocated for Westland Community Centre in North Belfast. That new facility will provide services that will allow the community to access adult counselling, health and well-being events, after-school clubs and special needs support, and provide a focal point for local groups and programmes. Some 58 Urban Villages capital projects are now complete, including 13 in North Belfast, which include a range of shared community facilities, parks and public realm improvements. As the project develops, TEO officials, together with Belfast City Council and the Department for Communities, will continue to work collaboratively with Westland Community Group to help develop the capacity required to operate the new facility.
