Text
The Member highlights a number of the cost pressures within my Department around animal health. Those pressures need to be met in the budget for the next financial year. The challenges in my Department are not only around supporting the farming community by way of financial support but extend to what we can do around animal health. We talked earlier about animal welfare, and that is why I have been engaging with the Finance Minister about the budget settlement for the year ahead, to see what more we can do for the people of Northern Ireland.
