Text

I thank the Member for his question. The Rural Needs Act is a key piece of legislation. A review of it was undertaken, and 25 recommendations came back. I am aware that the Committee considered those at its last meeting. I listened to the audio recording of that over the weekend, and I am keen to see what more we can do. What we can do about those recommendations has been outlined. However, I want to go further and see what more we can do about funding support for rural communities.
