Text

I thank the Member for her question. I know that the issue was raised in today's debate about support for the sheep sector, and I will respond to the concerns as part of that. I confirm that I have not made a final decision. Any decision that I take on the matter will be communicated, in the first instance, to the Committee. It is important that I do that. I would like to give clarity as soon as I can. However, to do that, I need to work with my officials, who are also dealing with other issues, such as TB. I will look to provide clarification as speedily as possible. I cannot give you a defined timescale, but I get the concerns. Clarity on the situation going forward needs to be communicated.

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.02 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
