Text
If the Member were in any way aware of the issues in relation to ammonia, he would know that I inherited a situation in which, as was recently found by the Office for Environmental Protection, the Department had acted unlawfully. I am working through the issues. If we have a genuine desire to turn around the UK's decision on inheritance tax, we need to work together and have a unity of purpose. If we divide, we will not be able to pursue a clear cause to overturn the decision. I wish that we could all come together in unity in the Chamber and in society on what has been proposed by the UK Government.
