Text
That was another successfully negotiated resolution that ended industrial action. Rightly, those support staff, who are some of our most underpaid, campaigned, and we achieved the pay and grading review. That has been a two-stage process, improving the terms and conditions in the pay and grading review. The payment will be made before Christmas, and will be backdated to 1 April 2024. At the start of the next financial year, a £2,500 payment will be made, pro rata, to all staff who were part of the business case that brought forward the pay and grading review. That rightly reflects the valuable contribution that those people make in our education system.
