Text
The MOD consultation response came in very late in the process. There was a period of, perhaps, nine months in which no issue was raised by the MOD. When the project was about to move on, it suddenly came in with objections. I have raised that with British Ministers in Whitehall and asked them to expedite the matter with the MOD to ensure that it does not become a barrier to that very necessary offshore renewables project. As I said, the objection came in late in the day. We have raised the matter in London. We have asked for an explanation and for the matter to be expedited and resolved quickly.
