Text

I am sure that the Member is as familiar as I am, certainly anecdotally, with the fact that the volume of traffic that came from South to North on the island in the COVID period was probably unprecedented. Recent statistics that NISRA published indicate that that volume increased significantly and has continued to grow, which is good news for our providers here. Even though there was a gap, with an alternative source being used during the time when it was impossible to do face-to-face consultations, tourism information was provided. However, if there is any sense in the tourism working group that the statistics are not up to scratch, I am sure that we can look at that. However, as I say, NISRA published fairly compelling statistics just a number of weeks ago that outlined that significant growth has continued.

Assessment

Not qualifying

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not qualifying”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.03 (qualifying needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not qualifying).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-qualifying threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
