Text
As I said in response to an earlier question, the Magee expansion is not just a commitment in the New Decade, New Approach agreement by all the parties and both Governments; it is now a priority in the Programme for Government. Given the clear message in the interim report that the Magee expansion requires the collective support of the entire Executive, I shared the interim report with my Executive colleagues to seek feedback on it and their commitment to the expansion. I have received several responses. The task force will consider those responses and determine what further information is required. Officials from my Department have had discussions with their counterparts in the Department of Health and the Department for Infrastructure regarding the Magee expansion. Additionally, a representative from the Department of Health is a member of the task force, and DFI officials presented at the task force meeting on 9 October.
