Text
As I said in my answer to the substantive question, there has been a significant change in our street lighting over the past number of years. Members of the public will have noticed that, in some areas, street lighting poles and equipment have been removed because they do not fit with the policy that has been in place for a number of years. That has caused some upset in certain areas, but the current policy dictates that, when street lighting has reached an age at which it requires replacement, it will be evaluated on whether it meets the current street lighting policy. If it does, it will be replaced. If it does not, it will not be replaced.
