Text
I saw in a recent media report that, in the past four years, £150 million from the public purse has been paid to private providers. Does that point to a capacity issue? I had a meeting recently with the trust in relation to the SWAH and it said that it had a demand/capacity gap, which it is looking to sort out, and it would rather get recurrent funding. Can the Minister point to the funding constraints that relate to elective care?
