Text

I certainly agree with the Member's comments about ensuring that people can play a full role in society and, most importantly, get access to basic public services that we so often take for granted. Permission to draft the Bill has received approval from the First Minister and the deputy First Minister. I hope that other Ministers, particularly, as the Member mentioned, the Finance Minister and the Education Minister, will ensure that we have the proper allocation of resources to deliver on the policy intent of the legislation and make things better for a section of our society, members of which so often feel that they are on the margins.
