Text
Changes to the housing selection scheme are under way, including an exploration of options for the future of intimidation points. Under the current scheme, someone who leaves their home as a result of domestic abuse can be allocated points for homelessness and primary social needs points for violence or the threat of violence. I am keen to see changes to how applicants who have experienced violence are recognised in the selection scheme. I am aware that the Housing Executive is working at pace to bring forward options for consideration. I assure the Member that I will give those my consideration as a matter of urgency.
