Text

I thank the Member for her question. This is something that goes just beyond that statutory requirement. There are things that we can do. Indeed, the unit in the Executive Office is working with agencies, the Civil Service and public sector and more widely in monitoring that type of data and to collect it. It is important that we understand the issues and challenges in order to take appropriate action where it is needed most. Part of that will be around that monitoring, which could be put on a statutory footing. We are actively considering that, and the Committee has been informed about some of the ongoing discussions. We are aiming to bring forward those suggestions and recommendations very shortly.
