Text

A task force has been commissioned to progress that important work in the pursuit of consistency and equity of support. The task force held its first meeting on Friday 27 September. It is chaired by the chief executive of the Controlled Schools' Support Council (CSSC) and includes senior representation from the Department of Education and the Education Authority. The task force will develop a proposed model for controlled schools support, including a dedicated body to include managing authority responsibility. It is due to report to me by December 2024. I will be in a position to provide a further update to the House in due course.
