Text

The Minister, in his contribution, talked about the importance of a mental health champion. It was his idea, and it was important that we have that independent voice. That independent voice was standing out in the Great Hall today saying that it was a priority that does not appear much in the Programme for Government. If we approve and agree with the amendment, we are removing something that the mental health champion is asking us for. What is the point of having the independent voice if you are not going to listen to it?
