Text

I cannot anticipate what it will come forward with. Therefore, I cannot anticipate which Department would take it forward. Many of the structures that surround the tripartite arrangements for policing and justice are not devolved. They are part of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 and would need to be dealt with at Westminster. Others are devolved to my Department. I accept that, for some Members, it has been incredibly difficult to come to terms with the fact that I cannot answer questions on behalf of the police on operational matters. However, this is not an operational policing review. This is a review of the board and its relationships. It is entirely appropriate that it is done independently, but the report will also be presented to the board.

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.04 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).

  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
