Text
The Audit Office review has only been announced, so no update can be given on that. With respect to the performance and whether it is effective, the chief commissioner specifically addressed performance matters in the Planning Appeals Commission and Water Appeals Commission (PACWAC) annual review for 2022-23. From the initial statistics prepared in advance of the chief commissioner's annual report 2023-24, performance continues to improve, with the commission's performance showing the highest increase in decisions over the past five years. The final report will be published later in the autumn, and, hopefully, Members will be pleased at the progress that is being made.
