Text

Yes, it is good news for the teaching and support staff that an agreement has been reached on a fair wage. That comes down to the old adage that we get more done when we work together. I commend the Finance Minister and Education Minister for the work they did together to constructively find a resolution to the matter. The industrial action had been going on for a long time, and all credit to the support staff in our schools and to the teachers who worked together to achieve what they did in the end. I commend them for that, because they deserve fair pay and good working conditions. I commend the approach of the two Ministers who worked together and that of the education and support staff.
