Text
Ms McLaughlin asked the Minister for the Economy, in light of the Northern Ireland Audit Office report that was published last week, which was critical of his Department's performance in achieving the strategic goals of the skills strategy and stated that there were weaknesses in the governance arrangements and plans to support a coherent approach to developing skills in Northern Ireland, how he planned to get skills development back on track to meet the needs of the students and, vitally, the needs of the economy.
