Text
We anticipate that the Bill will be introduced later in 2025. That will depend on the progress of earlier Assembly business that is going through at the moment. In the next few weeks, I hope to introduce my mixed content, miscellaneous provisions Bill — the modernisation Bill. The sentencing Bill will be the second Bill of the mandate, and then my intention is to have a third Bill that will relate to victims. An Executive paper is being prepared by my officials to seek Executive approval for the policy content and drafting of the Bill during this term, so that we can get that under way as soon as possible.
