Text
I will see whether I can find the figures for this year. Last year, £1·5 billion was raised. That is a really important contribution to the delivery of our public services. Rating debt varies year-on-year. At 31 March 2024, the value of outstanding rating debt was £180·5 million. That has been reduced somewhat in the interim. Land and Property Services (LPS) continues to collect all outstanding rating debt, and arrangements are in place for those who face rating debt and those who are struggling to make their rate payments. I encourage anybody who is in that position to contact LPS.
