Text

Some of the rate reliefs that the Member referred to have been considered as part of the rating consultation, so we will consider those in the next steps from the report, which I know the Member, as Chair of the Finance Committee, will have had sight of. It is important that we look at how we can best align what we are trying to achieve through our rating system with the economic vision that the Executive have set. I will work with my counterparts the Economy Minister and Communities Minister, because there are cross-departmental interests there. My officials will engage with Department for the Economy officials on how we can best ensure that what we are trying to achieve aligns.
