Text
I thank the Member for her question. Given the experience of Waterways Ireland in its role across a vast network of inland waterways across the island of Ireland, it is ideally placed to support and work with organisations on the River Blackwater and elsewhere. That does not fall under the NSMC's remit yet, but it would be useful to all if the remit of Waterways Ireland were broadened to allow it to support and work with communities. The River Blackwater is one example, and there are many others.
