Text

As the Minister is aware, locally, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is moving towards a rebranding of its tourism strategy. It is removing the names of local area attractions, such as Mourne Mountains, Slieve Gullian and Strangford lough, in favour of a broad term, "Ireland's True Nature". Does the Minister agree that councils have a responsibility to focus on their local area and local attractions in promoting their tourism strategy to maximise local potential?
