Text

Does the Member agree that this and our amendments are really about honesty and competence in government? If the Executive parties regret the legislation's passing in 2022, they should have the honesty to say that they do not want to implement it. However, if they think that there are no logistical reasons why it cannot be implemented in a year's time, they should explain why our amendments are not acceptable. Our amendments are clearly designed to allow the change to be implemented, but with an amended lead-in time.
