Text
That issue has been raised with me, and I have been asked what support there is for young people when they finish school. Our special schools go from ages three to 19, and other Departments have a responsibility for those young people after they leave the education system. There are organisations that provide support. In my constituency of Lagan Valley, Stepping Stones provides support for young people. We need to engage with the Department for the Economy and other Departments on that issue so that, when those young people leave education, there is wider support available. The responsibility, however, cuts across other Departments as well.
