Text
Baby loss is one of the most traumatic experiences that a person can go through in their lifetime. Pregnancy should be a time of hope, joy and excitement that is filled with memories for prospective parents. Unfortunately, for women who suffer miscarriage and baby loss, nothing could be further from the truth. The loss of a baby can have far-reaching impacts on the lives of not just the parents but the wider family. It is only right that the grief experienced by many should be acknowledged through a certificate scheme. Many of my family and friends have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, miscarriage or their babies passing away just days or weeks after birth. I know the love that they have for their babies and that they think about them every day. It is truly heartbreaking. Life just is not fair, but we can send a message today that we care, so I ask everyone to, please, support this important motion.
