Text

Given that it has not come into full effect yet, we are still working out the implications for here. We have to continue that work with the Home Office as more of what the legislation means for our responsibilities and what falls to us becomes clearer. Certainly, even though the Act came into effect in July of last year, most of the sections have not been commenced yet, so we need to get more detail on what it will mean. We continue to liaise with the Home Office on its plans to enact the remaining sections and what the implications are. We have established a task and finish group chaired by TEO officials to take that work forward.
