Text

Thank you, Minister, for coming to the House today to give your statement. You have clearly outlined how you have balanced public safety and animal welfare in your decision. I was very concerned when I learned about the recent XL bully attack in Northern Ireland, in which someone sustained life-changing injuries. Will you outline whether you considered any other options before announcing this decision?

  • Assessed as legitimate policy scrutiny (0.84).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
