Text
The Member is right to raise those concerns, particularly in areas where there is multiple deprivation for those who come from a more disadvantaged background. There needs to be the support in those areas to give children the opportunities to flourish and reach their full potential that children have in other parts of our society. I share with him that agenda of trying to make sure that resource goes into the areas most in need. If best practice in doing that is in the Republic of Ireland or in another part of the United Kingdom, I will happily look at that and, where I can learn from it, take it forward. I want to make sure that we can get best practice and then get the necessary resources to be able to invest.
