Text

Like everyone else in the House, I am relieved and gladdened to hear of that extension for Nexus. What worried most of us was the loss of that specialist service for people who have suffered in such a violent and terrible way. Will the Minister assure the House that, going forward, we will not think of putting people who have suffered rape or violence on to general mental health lists? That would be the worst outcome. We really want to see the Minister and the Department build up that specialist advice and help for people who have suffered.
