Text

I thank the Member for giving way, and I appreciate the motion that is before us. The motion refers to Northern Ireland's fishing industry. It would be a useful marker — I am sure that the Minister is well aware of it — to say that Lough Neagh also has a significant fishing industry that will require support and some recognition that, over the last year, in particular, the worst manifestations of the algae bloom has had an effect on the zebra mussels and on the fishing industry itself. I ask that the Minister and the proposer of the motion also take cognisance of that fact.

Assessment

Not qualifying

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not qualifying”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.03 (qualifying needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not qualifying).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • Assessed as legitimate policy scrutiny (0.79).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-qualifying threshold.
