Cost of Living Crisis - Amendment 1
Leave out all after ‘supporting households;’ and insert:
‘further recognises that the Executive does not have many of the fiscal powers held by other devolved regions or governments and that greater fiscal powers should be devolved to the Executive; recognises that the British Government should make meaningful interventions to support people during the cost of living crisis such as, reducing VAT on home heating oil and fuel, cutting Insurance Premium Tax, increasing windfall taxes on energy companies making huge profits, and reinvesting those resources into public services; expresses support for multi-year budgeting; and further expresses support for the Executive in its negotiations to secure a fair funding package and to agree a Budget settlement that enables public services to be properly funded and to further support workers, families and communities.’
