Cost of Living Crisis
That this Assembly recognises the severe and growing pressure that rising fuel and energy costs are placing on household finances across Northern Ireland; notes that these pressures come on top of persistently high living costs, leaving many households facing increasingly difficult choices; further notes the publication of Budget 2027 in the Republic of Ireland, which has brought forward a package of measures aimed at easing cost of living pressures and supporting households; expresses concern that the Executive has failed to agree a budget to provide families with certainty about the support available to them; and calls on the Executive to bring forward a package of measures aimed at alleviating the cost of living crisis as part of an agreed Executive budget.
