Compassionate Temporary Release
To ask the Minister of Justice, in light of the findings in Anderson (Gary) and (Sean) Application for Judicial Review [2026] NIKB 54, to explain the apparent conflict between the judgment and her statement to the Assembly on 15 September that the Prison Service had ‘strongly resisted’ Gary Anderson’s release, and to outline the urgent action she will take in response to the serious failures identified in the Prison Service’s decision-making and conduct of the judicial review.
