Women’s Health
That this Assembly expresses grave concern about the continued healthcare barriers facing women in Northern Ireland; further expresses serious concern that issues including a lack of research and bespoke services are leading to poor health advice, misdiagnosis, delayed or ineffective treatment and worse outcomes for women; notes that more than two years after committing to doing so, the Department of Health is yet to bring forward a Women’s Health Action Plan, leaving Northern Ireland as the only part of the UK without a dedicated women’s health policy; and calls on the Minister of Health to deliver that Action Plan without delay, as the first step in developing a comprehensive Women’s Health Strategy for Northern Ireland.
