Making our Roads Safer for all Users
That this Assembly notes with concern that the Road Safety Strategy Action Plan 2025-2026 has not yet been published; further notes the increase in road deaths and serious injuries in recent years, with 69 people killed on our roads in 2024, compared with 50 in 2021, and 939 people seriously injured in 2024, the highest number since 2009; and calls on the Minister for Infrastructure to urgently publish the outstanding action plan and prioritise delivery of effective, evidence-based interventions to reverse these trends and make our roads safer for all users.
